Since 1983, Nanchen dolls have been caringly handmade and hand-painted in north Hesse. Nanchen manufactures dolls, rattles and toy animals from high-quality natural materials.
In the manufactory in Kassel along with 15 great employees, Nanchen transforms Bioland virgin sheep’s wool, organic cotton and plant-dyed silk into over 200 different Nanchen models. The employees have unusual job titles such as “face painter”, “inner head roller”, “doll doctor” or “wig crocheter”.
Nanchen is all united by the love of handicraft and the joy of high-quality materials.
