Dans La Rue/ On the Street

Baby is growing—he walks, observes, and imitates the sounds of animals!

After Baby and Peek-a-Boo Baby, Pauline Martin presents a baby who has just begun to walk and sets out on his own two feet to explore the living world. During a stroll in the countryside, Baby encounters familiar animals and listens to the sounds they make. Each has its own language: from a tiny “meow” to a loud “neigh,” Baby learns to recognize each animal’s uniqueness and identity by observing them closely and associating them with “their specific sound.”

Even before they can speak words, toddlers love to explore the different tones of the sounds they can make. Imitating an animal’s sound fits perfectly with their abilities and delights them, turning it into a joyful game for Baby and for young readers to share.
